Btw. I saw that “solid” information has emerged on the Matrox Parhelia card. On the one hand there is the break of NDA over at the SkarkyExtreme Forums and then there is CT Magazine adding to the notion that shipping will in fact begin July 1st. The first card to leave the assembly line will be the 128Mb version at a price of around $500.
It stills bothers me that the card only partially lives up to the DX9 spec. Because of this (and the high price) I fear my line of Matrox cards might be broken here and now. Better to wait for an el cheapo R300 or NV30. There will certainly be sub $200 cards available, probably with enough power to make the Parhelia look really bad. As for Tv-out, I already own a Matrox G400 so all I want is basically DX9 support and sharp 2d quality at resolutions up to 1280×1024 (which is just about as high as you can go on a 19 inch monitor).
