ATi Radeon 9xxx is out since a couple of days ago. MAybe not on the retail market for everyone to buy but still. This is basically what ATi have to say about their new line of cards and this is in fact also what the reviews say. Not really surprising since the GF4 is already outdated more or less. Yeah, I know it’s tyre tracks and broken hearts for those who have heard the song. Things move fast in this business.
There is one slight problem however. The instep models (9000) do not seem to support DX9. Only the $399 Radeon 9700 (also known as R300) FULLY supports DX9. So much for a budget solution. There is a review over at Anandtech that sheds light on the situation.

nVidia on the other hand keeps going on about Unreal Tournament 2003 to gain some attention. Here are five new shots to feast your eyes on. This game is going to rock. Well, sadly not on my setup unless I get a new gfx card
