There were some major thunderstorms in this area. And guess what? My god damn 56k modem blew .. again! So now I have to utilize the old Us Robotics 33.6k that has been in cold storage for the last three years. What an irony. People are moving to broadband services and I am moving back three years in pc history. I will of course pull the same scam as last time and claim a warranty repair.
Thankfully, there were no additional material damages in the by the heavy rainfall and hailstorms that followed.

Daily summary: Spent the entire day digging for and installing fundaments for a fence. Hard work but you get a certain satisfaction by going berserk on your neighbours pine trees with axe and shovel since they are in the way. A gardeners dirty secret dream I suppose

The HTPC project is stalling. I am considering building a case out of premade parts (maybe like an old tuner or cassette deck) and plexiglas (spray painted). Indeed like this one (but in ATX form factor)
