It was a long time since I looked at the images of this artist. Then suddenly, the memory of them emerged from the farthest depths of my psyche and crept up on me like a beast in the dark. I have seen few drawing techniques in my life that match those of Theodor Kittelsen.

He is said to have captured the very essence of the Norwegian soul and being. I don’t know about that but there is some ghastly imagery in there for sure. Something for you to dwell upon during dark and chilly autumn nights. To shake your mortal being by its foundations and to vex the mind.
