Does this sound familiar? You wake up in the morning and you know something is wrong. There is something missing in your life .. And then you realize what it is. An LCD (you know what LCD stands for right?) for the HTPC. Without this your life has no meaning. Haha, this happens far too often. I suppose it boils down to if -androids really dream of electric sheep-.

The downside of this particular idea is the price. LCDs are overpriced to say the least. It also helps if there isn’t too much soldering and stuff involved. If you like me reside in Sweden you might want to check out Ad-Teknik. They have a single flavour LCD (2×16 backlit). A websearch reveals that it is in fact this one. 100SEK is a pretty nice deal even if you have to do a little work yourself. It wouldn’t be a real project otherwise, right? I need to know if the chip is compatible with the major software controllers before I do anything though.
