Netscape, be gone …

Muhahaha. Something had to be done about it. Netscape plain sucks and especially v4.x. You just can’t have people like that snooping around your site. It’s like watching widescreen movies in pan-and-scan. So, I came up with this nifty little php snippet to remedy the problem:

To bad you can’t do like this with movies to [...]

Your daily project dose

Had a chat with the Swedish agent for Case Logic products. Once again I pointed out how stupid it is that the cd walkman case NDM3 is still not available in Sweden (or anywhere in Europe for that matter). And once again he promised to look into it. I will apparently have to contact CL [...]

“WinXP ate my project”

Ok, this is what happened when I booted up this morning and tried running AutoCAD - I got a an extensive FATAL ERROR message stating that “All of the possible directories for storing temporary files either do not exist or are readonly. Please correct this situation before running AutoCAD again”. Does anyone think I [...]

Winamp 3.0

Release date: Two days ago (Thursday 8 August). Lets see what it can do. Winamp 3.0 (full) 3.35Mb.
And talking about software I upgraded ACDSee 3.1 to 4.01 (powerpack) yesterday. Well worth the upgrade even if there are alot of junk in there that you will never use. I really like the inclusion of ImageFox and [...]

Secrets of the HTPC

There is a very nice walkthrough/essay on how to build a HTPC over at Secrets of Home Theater High Fidelity. Nice to see that we agree on at least some things.
And, with the help of dvdforum I found this, apparently the only real supplier of custom HTPC cases and complete setups in Sweden(?). 4000SEK for [...]

The mail ..

.. should be Ok now as well. I ditched myrealbox and will now use the free account I had at spray.se all along, only I didn’t think of it for some reason. Doesn’t matter really since the *(at)battleangel.org-addresses never changed.

The dreaded iframe

Mohahaha! I solved the problem with the calendar (and any future php inclusion for that matter). As you know (?), html4 contains the tag iframe that creates a non-resizable frame anywhere on a page. Seems kind of dull to use it when you got both SSI and the Php include commands. I am sure this [...]

Work in progress

No more AutoCAD snaps for the moment. Just a note that the first box design is complete. I’ll twist and turn it in my head for a couple of days and then MAYBE it will end up at Ferrocon. I am more than a little concerned with the measurements and flexing of the material. You [...]

Work snapshot

Not that I will ever use a fan guard / grill but I got a bit carried away with AutoCAD. I was thinking about polishing them and releasing them for download in the near future. I know that there are alot of people asking for custom fan guard DWGs.

Let the games begin …

Well. Time to show some results then and prove that it isn’t all just talk. The backplate with a custom fan guard that I wont use anyway but was fun to design:

I just have to nudge the items a bit to make it work with the config. Still haven’t figured out the best way to [...]
