RIAA finally met some real opposition today it seems. Organizations like the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Consumer Alert, the Electronic Privacy Information Center, and National Consumers League filed an amicus curiae brief arguing that the RIAA suit agains a Verizon Communications subscriber relies on unconstitutional elements of the DMCA. And talking about privacy, SP1 for WinXP is due Monday. Probably a pain in the ass for people like me. Or not. Keys can be calculated, that is all I am going to say. There is probably a crack out already for the rest of the pesky “features”.
