On the Swedish election

Yeah, I had to do my civic duty today and turn up at the ballot. My vote this time as well as four years ago fell with the Christian Democrats. And how does that work out really, with me avidly opposing religious belief?
I suppose you have to be a little selective. And not get stuck on the name or the religious tendencies. A vote for CD (KD) is automatically a vote for the right wing alliance. You can always nitpick the on the differences between the four parties on the right flank, but in reality there isn’t much. And to be honest, the real reason that I am not voting M, FP or C is a little narrative I heard a couple of years ago. The leader of KD (Alf Svensson, who is probably not so well know outside of this country but still) had a run-in with a bunch of punks (read: young people) when he was out campaigning. So, they were pushing him around until he revealed his old boxing skills (yes, believe it or not). Haha. Anyway, one of the guys was held by the very same politician until police arrived if I’m not mistaken.
And the morality of this? Things are not always what they seem, turning the other cheek is only doable for so long and Never attack senior citizens unless you know their history ;)

So, that is in essence why they get my vote. Silly? Well, here at battleangel we don’t believe in turning the other cheek and people are people even if they happen to call themselves Christian.
