Once in a while you get stuck on the big questions. As a wouldbe but hopeless biologist you don’t have a problem with the existential side of life, because you realize there is none. Free choice is for fools and the weak of mind who can not accept the truth. The meaning of life? Nothing that can be appreciated from a philosophical point of view. All organisms strive to maximize their fitness - nothing more, nothing less. Just because we Homo sapiens can nowadays solve complex differential equations, study ourselves and dance the rumba, it isn’t automatically so that we have progressed to a different level altogether. We are still only an organism amongst countless millions of other organisms on this planet. There is no soul, and no philosophical concept of destiny.
Instincts rule the world, whether we like it or not. Though, it would be ludicrous of me to claim that a mature human is only a product of its genetic heritage. Genes don’t select this years fashion, what brand of cigarettes you smoke or DIRECTLY who you fall in love with. INDIRECTLY, however, we all have a fundamental concept of beauty for example. We can’t help it. Men are attracted to certain features of the female physiology and those features just happen to play important roles in and around reproduction. Coincidence? Not really.
I could go on and on about this but I wont. My view is already crystal clear I think. The meaning of life compressed into one paragraph.
So, instead, the really big question is .. WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING WITH OUR LIVES?! We’re wasting them if you ask me. We show blind obedience towards authority. We pay our taxes. We are slaves under our own imagination. And for what? A few dollars more and some hollow appreciation.
This is sort of the source of my anger towards society. We have no clue what we’re doing because the comman man (and this includes the polictician of the world) has the knowledge in natural science equivalent to a boiled shrimp. In other words NONE whatsoever. Does this disturb me? Yes it does. Especially since some retard invented currency, economics and the philosophy to “work for a living”.
Society is but a layer to the real world.
You can always teach a lion to eat tofu just as we teach or children to live in civilization, but does that really change the organism so fundamentally that we can superimpose a new set of rules? A lion that eats tofu when we force it to is still a lion.

And all of this brings me to the issue of the Swedish election somehow. Democracy is a joke on the expense of the people it seems. States have become more like prisons to their citizens as opposed to the havens they are supposed to be.
They say that the customer is always right. Well, not in this case. The voter is always wrong I am afraid. And Sweden is certainly stagnating under the rule of social democrats. The equality theory has become a giant amoeba that is now suffocating the population. You, know, political correctness has almost become an ideology in itself. I imagine they will re-label the fruit counters at the supermarkets soon so that oranges, pears and lemons will be merchandised as apples. And they would of course also be equally expensive just as the government would add a special 25% fruit tax. Social democratic fruit counters .. wouldn’t that be something.
So, I’m not happy with the result. You’ve gathered as much. And I do have a problem with authority. That much is clear. Generally I am surprised that not everyone has a problem with authority .. I mean, whose ideas are we fed anyway? They certainly aren’t mine anyway .. and they are seldom that of my peers. It is true what they say - you never become a prophet in your own time (and in your own country). At best I am influenced by the standards set by the generation before me, but very rarely does my own actions or the action of my peers result in tangible results. In other words, because of sociological processes you are powerless to drastically overturn your own situation. How is that for a depressing view of the world?
The day dabbling in politics became a profession (and a very lucrative one at that) we all took one big step towards the abyss. As someone told me the other day, “they told us in high school that if we didn’t get our act together there would only be two things open for us in life - becoming a politician or becoming a parent, because neither require a formal education”. Isn’t that a scary thought? The two most important functions in our society are open to everyone. That is the biggest joke of all …
