.. and I am generally pissed of. Gee, what a surprise. Where art thou, oh vengeful Erinyes? Come forth from hell and bring thy wrath upon my foes!

Two things really got me started today, one was packages being M.I.A. and the other was Spider-Man related. More specifically I have a great deal of incoming goods, mainly dvds, that seem to take ages to arrive. 10 regular dvds, 1 dvd box set sent back to Arlanda, 1 second-hand Slot-in DVD and 1 Steel case to be more precise. And if there is anything that pisses me off, it is lateness. And especially lateness without an excuse. If company X calls me or sends a mail and explains what is taking so long well then it is ok I suppose. The issue of the slot-in player and “lost” box set are incredibly annoying since I have reason to suspect foul play. The guy I bought the dvd unit from seems a little “off” to say the least. And god knows what the postal service did with my BTTF box. I told them to have it rechecked through the import terminal at Arlanda but I am beginning to fear that they in fact returned it to sender. Or else they are incredibly slow - and that pissed me off as well. About the MediaBOX it should be ready some time next week … well .. the chassis anyway.

As for Spider-Man, the saga goes on. Remember when I said it would never premiere locally due to a dispute with Sony-Columbia? Well, the conflict is resolved now. And Spider-Man as well as MIB2 were quick to appear. Not that it did any good though. The thing is that they for some reason didn’t get the version with digital audio. And because of this or because of other titles they had to accommodate for they had to run the movie in theater #3. A world apart from theaters #1, #2 and #4 - not only because it lacks digital audio but also because of the screen and comfort. It’s a dump basically. It’s pitiful. And so typically like Sweden. He who said that “patience is a virtue” obviously wasn’t from around here. The only thing that patience will get you is older and grumpier. And stuck with an inferior product.
The movie should be out on dvd some time in November …
