Yeah, I’ve been out of CDRs for quite some time now. I have standards to uphold and I just refuse to get second grade junk. On the other hand I’m not paying extra for something when I don’t have to.
The solution right now seems to be Cd-r hp 10-p 80min 16x. I don’t need the jewel cases of course but this is actually cheaper than buying them on a spindle so what the hell. And 16x is quite enough for my old yamaha cd writer + you could probably go far beyond the rating without damaging the discs anyway. These HP discs are made by Taiyo Yuden btw so they are high quality despite the low price.
