That is what I call winter. Finally.
Besides shovelling snow, wandering through the icy woods, playing Warcraft 3 and writing a very non-essential report in social psychology, nothing is happening really. Everyone seems to be on holiday, thus no dev. on any of the projects. The harddrive is still MIA in the goddamn Netherlands. *sigh*

Like so much else this season it is a matter of faith I suppose. I’m thrilled by the possibility but sad that the task has been left with questionable organizations like the Raelians. I suppose that their faith and determination could very well speed things up compared to government funded operations BUT had any legitimate […]
You know you have too much time on your hands when …
.. you search out old Hasbro Transformers toys.
Everyone remembers the Transformer robots, right? “More than meets the eye”. They were an enormously successful series of comics and toys in the mid 80s.

NewScientist magazine has begun summarizing the year in science.

It’s so typical for the European distribution of electronics. Release date is currently 15th or 19th of January. Just great, now there is DX9 but no games that take advantage of the technology and few hardware solutions that have the power to back it up. I’m still waiting …

Still no replacement unit. And the RMA status page still says “received but not shipped”. I’m kind of disappointed with IBM by now … I mean, why is it so difficult to find a replacement unit? From what I’ve understood many of the RMAs have resulted in brand new. So needless to say, this delay […]
