A victory for nonsmokers.

Since yesterday (1st Jan 2003) there is a new law here in Sweden that requires pubs and restaurants to provide a nonsmoking compartment for their customers.

As of 2004, ALL such public places where services are provided will be COMPLETELY smoke free. Then it will be the tobacco users who will be singled out and dealt with. How about that. Not that I go out and eat or drink very often but if I do, I sure as hell don’t want to get poisoned by filthy tobacco addicts.
Should I want to die prematurely I can do so by my own hand. I don’t want to die an agonizing cowards death because of passive smoking. All that remains now is to ensure that people comply with the revised law.

We still have a long way to go. When will we for example see laws against drinking in public places?
