Revision A. It seems we have a VERY exciting year ahead of us. Everything from superheroes in tights to good old horror and sci-fi, not to mention the wrapping of the LOTR trilogy. Exciting indeed. I will however admit that a lot of these flicks will probably turn out as 3/5 star movies for the already initiated. Predicting which ones will actually be smash hits (not to mention acclaimed by critics) is of course impossible.
It also remains to be seen whether all of these movies will premiere in Sweden in the duration of 2003. Some of them have already gone up in the US, I know, but haven’t yet made their way over here. What else is new. For once, I would wish that the distribution chain would pick up some pace and release the goddamn movies instantly instead of screwing the international moviegoers. As you can tell, this veritable smorgasbord of features annoys me a bit since I’m not sure I will be able to taste all the dishes. Well, unless the movies enter the big screen at the right time it is another big win for the p2p networks I suppose. Did that suddle intimidation get through? Anyway, here is the list as I see it:
Lets start off with a couple of movies that have already been released internationally but appear in Sweden during the spring. Release dates are for Sweden (duh).

2003 release dates for: Sweden
2003 release dates for: USA
According to IMDB common genres, the drama will prevail in 2003 as well (355), just barely ahead of comedy (312) and action (166). The keyword section is just as predictable. Independent-film takes the lead over remake and sequel.
