Well, now I have a laundry basket (bin) at least. After pondering the issue of laundry bins for a while I came to the conclusion that not having one was simply primitive. What people do with their sweaty underwear is beyond me. I used to build a really big pile in one corner of the bathroom *shudder*. Some probably hide them under the bed, hang them on a chair or throw them out the window. A few people quite possibly turn them inside-out and use them for another week. Some never change at all.
But I’m really a neat-freak in disguise so stuff like this makes me all fuzzy inside. What I really wanted to say is that it’s funny how you sometimes take ages to figure out what’s missing when you knew it all along. I admit this is a very mundane example but still. And why is it so important to tuck away all dirty laundry so that you don’t have to see it? Is it just because of what other people might think of you? In essence, who gave you and me the idea of a laundry bin and created the notion that we need one in order to be tidy?
