It’s a drag since I mainly rely on corporate tickets. The non-refundable kind. I realized I had two tickets that expired 31/1. So it’s “The Two Towers” all over again and “Gangs of New York”. Not exactly what I would normally have chosen and it annoys me since there are much more interesting movies coming up.
My main beef with SF (Svensk Filmindustri) is that they do not allow for reservations prior to Wednesday of the same week as the movie premieres. Except in the case of special hyped blockbuster movies, but it’s rare. Obviously I would like to be able to plan ahead by at least a month. Three days is an insult to people of order.
And it’s really starting to piss me off that there are so many gaps in the schedule. It’s like a funnel. You input a lot of movies in one end and most of them do not show up or show up late. And if you live in a smaller city like I do it’s the funnel effect all over again. “About Schmidt” should have premiered but it didn’t. And that pisses me off. They have to squeeze every last drop out of every damn movie so unfortunately the schedule didn’t have room. And “Bowling for Columbine” is a no show for next week as far as I can tell. Only intellectual emptiness remains.
A big win for p2p networks once more. At least they manage to get the job done.
