I love cartoons. And I’m not talking about the Phantom or Modesty Blaise here but rather the real comic strips like Far Side, Ernie or Grimmy. But why are the newspaper comic strips so appealing? Well for one they present an idea or concept in a very simple way. The deliver a very complex analysis of life that would have taken any expert in the field an entire chapter to do. What I mean to say is that cartoons can express far more than just the eye can see and mirror the real world in ways that most people do not understand. Some people start the day with a dose of foreign and domestic news. Some fools read their horoscope. I read the comic strips.
