This article by GuluFuture offers a slightly different take on the invasion of Iraq. It’s a couple of weeks old but I suspect that most people missed it, as I did, because the media hype and interest was not as great before the actual invasion as it is today.

The article deals with the fact that Iraq started selling oil in Euros back in 1999. At first it seemed foolhardy but with time the benefits grew. The Euro prospered and other major oil exporters like Iran and Venezuela considered changing over as well.
So, you might ask, does it matter what currency oil is traded in? And is is worth going to war over? Or even overthrow a democratically elected government of a free country like Venezuela? Read the article and find out. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.

Another reason I’m posting this is that the war, at least strategically, draws to an end. I feel it is important to remember this in the aftermath and not buy the ad hoc explanations from the US side. Rather look for signs to confirm the conspiracy and be ever so critical.
