Saddam key in early CIA plot

More conspiracy theories. I really can’t get enough of them. It seems our friend Saddam might have a slightly longer history with the US than anyone ever imagined. How embarrassing.

This would also give some credibility to the rumour that the bulk of the Iraqi army has in fact capitulated by orders of Saddam himself. And that Saddam Hussein in fact went into exile in exchange for this. With the exception of the Tikrit build-up rumour, the Iraqi army has vanished and the militia still holding parts of Baghdad is in fact mostly made up of non-Iraqi volunteers (i.e. mostly Syrians).

    United Press International has interviewed almost a dozen former U.S. diplomats, British scholars and former U.S. intelligence officials to piece together the following account. The CIA declined to comment on the report.
