I don’t know if this is good or bad news. Still no word on those pesky Ewoks thankfully. I suppose things can’t get any worse for Episode III so I’ll still take this as a good omen.
Say what you will but Star Wars Episode I-II has been a tremendous waste of talented actors. Take Samuel [...]

WASHINGTON, April 24 (Reuters) - Now that the campaign to topple Saddam Hussein appears to be over, even U.S. President George W. Bush admits he is a fan of the public relations style of former Iraqi information minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf.
“He’s my man, he was great,” Bush enthused in an interview with NBC’s Tom [...]
Interesting stuff. Haven’t been able to test drive it yet but it promises a lot ..
The purpose of ReClock is to definitely get rid of jerky playback of AVI and MPEG material on a PC (or a PC connected to a TV). It’s a DirectShow filter which is loaded in place of the default directsound [...]
About two days old news. This goes to prove that I am not really a Matrox fan anymore I suppose. And the release isn’t all that impressive anyway. Just two scaled down Parhelia based products (P650/P750) aimed at the workstation / CAD market. They are probably a great cash cow for the right people. Just [...]
It seems that my Yamaha SCSI writer has bought the farm so to speak. It just keep locking up at the beginning of every burning (or simulated) session. The drive is still able to read discs just fine so I assume that I am dealing with a malfunction that will be difficult, if not impossible, [...]
The entire day was spent fetching an imported Motorhome from Gothenburg. Kind of got stuck in a thick layer of Swedish bureaucracy as the car wasn’t quite up to Swedish registration specs. Talk about nitpicking. Plus I broke just about every traffic rule driving home again. Plus I ended up with a major headache. [...]
I think I’ve finally solved the slight stuttering with Battlefield and UT2003. I got the freshest set of Omega drivers and removed some of the background applications (like the no-ip DUC client, the ATI control panel and a few others). Not a sign of good troubleshooting skills I know, but I just got fed up [...]
Looks absolutely fabulous actually. I know a lot of people are having difficulties with a CGI HULK but I feel any fears are unfounded in this aspect. I am a bit more worried about the choice of villain(s) actually. It’s the story that matters you know … but I trust Ang Lee.

The so called liberation is over and what did it accomplish?
I for one refuse to switch camps just because the operation was a success. If war was wrong a month ago it is still wrong. Where is the consistency?
All this talk of victory sickens me. I though people had learned their lesson by now. There [...]
/// Passenger-Carrying Spaceship Makes Desert Debut
Interesting. I think that we will surely see more private initiatives in the coming years. No longer will governments be the only ones dabbling with space travel. I’m still anxiously awaiting the global mining industry to catch up on this …
