Agonist.org and “Isabella”

This has got to be one of the best conspiracies I’ve seen in quite some time now. I first became aware of “…she’s a flight risk.” as Sean-Paul Kelly over at The Agonist digressed from his usual reports of the Iraq campaign. This is also noted on April 23 in the very same mysterious blog.

Anyway, I read it on that very same day and was very sceptical. Even if this “Isabella” was blogging on the run (from what?) there was little excitement to be found at the site. Not exactly Richard Kimble if you know what I mean. And the site provided no clear information as to what was actually going on. I would probably never have thought of the matter again if this hadn’t happened.

The story could have been a parenthesis but Kelly apparently got a cease and desist letter from an international law firm representing Isabella’s family. Whoa. Who would have thought it should come to this. Kind of gives some validity to the story. But I’m not one for playing Cluedo. I want some answers or I’m bored. Also, the writer’s detachment makes it hard to interpret the blog. And the melodramatic setting is a bit annoying, you know, “I am an international fugitive” and the like.

April Fool’s is long gone. And I don’t know what this is. I’m confused .. and somewhat intrigued.
