Wired has an article on Why Gary Hart Wants to Blog. He sure looks like he wants to be the Democratic candidate for the 2004 elections.
I think that the blogging initiative is marvelous. Especially since we’re talking a possible presidential candidate here.

It is also interesting to note that while the current president couldn’t even perform in public after 9/11, Hart was a co-chairman of the Commission on National Security (January 2001) and predicted a surge in terrorist activity the same year. Not that anyone listened to what he had to say. Ahh, the irony.
