Didn’t fix the audio crackling however. Damn.

On the bright side, most of the gaming problems that I experienced when running Win2k are now gone. Again, too bad I didn’t do this two weeks ago before installing Planetside.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Here is the Sony press release from yesterday announcing the launch of Planetside. The game will include 30 days of free online play out of the box. Hmmm. Can’t say I’m not tempted. I will wait and see what happens with the European servers and if there are any news on performance issues with the Radeon 9700.
