Kazaa Lite codec pack update

I know that most ppl spit on codec packs in all forms. Especially the Nimo pack that I’ve mentioned before. Not that it really is a problem with the pack itself but rather has to do with how windows bonds to and lacks proper uninstall functions for multimedia drivers.
Anyway, the Kazaa Lite codec pack is [...]

More BitTorrents

I thought I would make a short list of some of the excellent sites that utilize BitTorrent.
Aix Gaming - Nice site that pointed me to BitTorrent in the first place. They currently provide some juicy E3 trailers for all gaming junkies out there. Half-Life 2, DOOM 3, HALO PC trailers.
Torrentse.cx - A growing collection of [...]

Tool of the week : BitTorrent

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file distribution solution. The concept is based on sharing files while you download. That way the load on the central server can be decreased without sacrificing the ability to download. Nice to have around these days with all the spanking new game demos and trailers that are floating around and killing [...]

Catalyst 3.4 is out!

Yes. Finally. Not that it should make that much of a performance difference since I’ve already been running the optimized Omega driver set. But there are some bugfixes that are of greater importance. See the release notes.
Catalyst 3.4 Windows Xp / 2k version here.
Catalyst 3.4 Control Panel: Here
Complete driver download page. This release also includes [...]

More on Isabella (Flight Risk) and Agonist

First of all, the Flight Risk web site has moved here. Second of all there is a remark by Sean-Paul over the Agonist:

Rumor has it that Wired.com is working up another article about Isabella. They seem to think I am Isabella. I suggest they talk to Dan Forbes. He can vouch that I am not [...]

Seinfeld to DVD!

This is VERY good news! Apparently, Jerry Seinfeld has started working on the extras that will make up a crucial part of the release. No date has been set though. But rest assured that it IS coming.
Now, all I need is the complete MacGyver collection on DVD ….

Planetside beta cont.

I took one last (?) stab at Planetside. And before I knew it the day was over. Kind of scary. There was talk on the server that the beta was going to end today. I don’t know. All I know is that the lag was better today, but on the other hand there weren’t that [...]

Planetside SUBSCRIPTION

Here’s the essence of the announcement:

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE), a worldwide leader in massively multiplayer online gaming, introduced plans for SOE All Access, an all-in-one subscription service that will allow gamers access to all of SOE’s premium entertainment content - from EverQuest to PlanetSide to EverQuest II - for one low price of $21.99 [...]

PP: The BushMatrix …

Kevin Siers (The Charlotte Observer)

Robert Ariail (The State)

Clever point to make about Castro and the US embargo on Cuba (look at the battery on BatteryBunnyCastro’s back). Same thing happened in Iraq since the Gulf War. Embargoes DO NOT WORK. They are in fact so stupid that I would prefer war any day. It’s not difficult [...]

Sad: Planetside down the drain

Tried to log on but my server (Emerald) was offline. For some reason you can’t move characters between servers. Stupid. I created a new character on another server just to try the gameplay. Laggy as hell. Worst experience to date. Even though the server had sub 200 ms ping times. God damn jerky, even if [...]
