I find it particularly interesting in the wake of “Bowling for Columbine”, that these things get such a big media hype every time. Never really payed much attention to how and why before. I always thought I didn’t care. And that most ppl didn’t care either, thus weren’t affected. But nowadays this always makes me wonder …

The main question is whether there is someone pulling the strings or if it is all in the media. Whether the contagion is (a) real, (b) indigenous in the sense that no human released it on purpose and (c) if it is correctly interpreted and worth getting all worked up about.
