Razor1911 gets cut down

Seems I missed out on some major happenings this week. Just as Fairlight announced their retirement, the head of Razor1911 was sentenced to 18 months in prison for violating copyright laws. At least prison is better than those bs fines that these ppl love to dish out.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The leader of an online software piracy group known as Razor1911 was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison for conspiracy to violate copyright laws, officials said.

The Justice Department said in a statement that Shane Pitman, 31, of Conover, N.C., was sentenced by federal Judge James Cacheris in Alexandria, Va.
Shane Pitman, known by his screen nickname “Pitbull,” was a leader of the underground Internet piracy community or “warez scene” and was accused of piracy of computer and console game software.

They are really asking for it now. If this goes on we are going to have to fight back. In Russian fashion if you know what I mean (and if you don’t it has to do with gunning down your opposition on the street, happened just last year with a russian software industry headhunter as a matter of fact). Death will come to you all!
