Sahhaf: “I’ve no regrets”

He also claims that “I was sincere in everything I said” in a recent interview as quoted by the Mirror. According to the article Sahhaf is coming out with a book that will cover the “real conflict”. Well, he does have a lot of time on his hands. And everyone seems to be publishing their life’s story these days so why should this guy do any different. Like so many others looking for instant immortality.

He admitted in a second TV interview that when he denied US tanks were in Baghdad, he knew they were there. But he said he was told the situation was under control.

Al-Sahaf declared: “I was Information Minister and fulfilled my duty to the last moment.”

One intelligence source told the Mirror: “He was very polite and helpful but he really did not know much more than we already knew.

”He’s been told we might want to speak to him again and he must stay at certain addresses in Baghdad.” The Pentagon refused to comment on his arrest or release.

I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of him. Oh and btw. The Late Show has a list of the Top Ten Things The Iraqi Information Minister Has Admitted Since Being Captured.
