The week in conclusion

This week could be remembered as the week when the Bittorrent networks died. I just can’t get over it. It drives me mad. Makes me want to lash out against those that put us (the people) down. A minority of thieves making life suck for the majority of people. Make no mistake about who the thieves are. It is not the folks leeching the latest iso game release or album. It it the calculating industry that wants to enslave us all as mindless drones or consumers. They lower the standards and hoist the prices as often as they can.

THIEVES - And speaking of thieves. It’s that time of year again. There have already been a number of burglaries or attempted burglaries in the neighbourhood. Statistically that would mean the quota is filled so to speak. Still. You have to consider that these are pretty consistent and desperate people. Ironically all the neighbours have left for various reasons. One even appeared to be so scared that she packed up and left. Right. Good tactics. That should show them
Being a very friendly neighbour I will of course keep an eye on the block. God knows vigilante hero wannabes like myself are a nightmare for unwelcome visitors. And potentially dangerous to anyone for that matter.

WORK - Only three more weeks to go at work. I noticed how fast the days are passing. And how little sleep I require these days. It’s ageing I suppose. Anyway. It always feels sad breaking up. The people I work with have been really great. And the change of scenery has been revitalizing in some strange way. There is always something going on. Every day is bound to contain new problems to solve and new situations to wriggle out of. It’s good training for an anti-social person like myself.

WEBSITE TRAFFIC - This site is getting an enormous upswing btw. judging from the logs it is riding high on the wings of the Bittorrent phenomena. Google is doing one heck of a job indexing the site. Unique visitor count has been increasing with a factor of two for the last two months now. Groovy. I hope people don’t feel entirely cheated by coming here and that at least some get their questions answered.

MOVIES - Finally got my ass out of the wagon and reserved a spot for the Terminator 3 premiere. Once again Sweden is weeks behind the international schedule. It is somewhat surprising considering the magnitude of this release. Oh well, better late than never I suppose.
And while on the topic I noticed that most of the summer blockbusters are now out in the open. Overall this summer has been one great cinematic disappointment. Mediocre at best. LXG (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) is the latest movie to be picked apart by reviewers. Pirates of the Caribbean, Hulk and Terminator 3 remain the only three bearable movies of the season.

DOWNLOADS - A measly 15 GB. Next week’s tally will probably plummet due to some major BT sites being forced offline.
