And I let it get to me every year. Rational thought is not enough to overcome these seasonal changes. Even though the last couple of days have been clear and sunny you can feel the change. Overall, August has been well below expected temperatures. I never thought about it when I was younger. Things were much simpler then. Nothing left to do but to fight it. Refuse to accept what is happening. Otherwise it would leave me vulnerable to a host of potentially harmful agents. The integrity of my sanity is all that stands between me and a chaotic and gloomy world. I fear that the “ketchup effect” applies here …
