The list of nominees is all but predictable. Best picture is between THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING, LOST IN TRANSLATION, MASTER AND COMMANDER, MYSTIC RIVER and SEABISCUIT.
Add to those movies COLD MOUNTAIN and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and I think you get the general idea of what movies rendered the most attention last year. Too bad I’ve only seen PIRATES and LOTR out of all the nominees.

It’s noteworthy that ONDSKAN (“EVIL”) got a nomination in best FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM.
