I tried to use filepointers and CSV information and realized that there are many pitfalls. Especially if the information you are retrieving isn’t formatted the way you would like it to be. And thus you have to spend hours and hours just playing around with the broad php functions library to try and remedy this.

Today’s project was to retrieve schedule data from the univ. on a daily basis, cache it locally and open it in a multi-dimensional array. Later I will use it to output the schedule information in a nice and orderly manner, instead of the not so lovely popup that I have now. And also to have the information in WML format for mobile retrieval. I should have had this years ago.
