I have to give this series thumbs up after all. Even if it is not even a series but rather more like one instalment chopped up into short sequences of around 4 minutes.
I’d say that the format as well as the small tidbits of Star Wars trivia that they reveal make this show as addictive as anything I’ve seen. And sure, the characters are flat and the dialogue is just as trivial but at any rate not worse than PM and AOTC. In some ways the short format of animated episodes is bearing the weight of the story better than would a live action telling. It just doesn’t last long enough to be embarrassing. Kudos to Genndy Tartakovsky for making it simple yet interesting and leaving us wanting more. Unlike the actual movies where you wish for less and an entirely different story. If I was George Lucas I would hand directorship of the entire Star Wars franchise over to this guy pronto. And I would also like to know why the great story line of the Clone Wars isn’t explored further on the big screen.

On a related matter I wonder how Episode 3 is coming along. The cast and crew seems zealous once more, ensuring us that this movie will be the best of the entire series. I’ll believe it when I see it.
