Green bag culture and jumpsuits

Another one from the Story Box. Just a million to go.

Right, it’s time for yet another sure sign of spring. Something really reliable but just a vile and predictable as doggy do. You know it exists, even though you might not perceive it under the blanket of winter.
I’m speaking of the student unions of course. A longtime thorn in my side that I have been unable eradicate (so far). Perhaps the future will bring better luck.
It is also interesting to postulate why Sweden is a little “off” during the winter. And that social activities are in fact blanketed as such. The onslaught of darkness with shorter and shorter days renders people withdrawn and somewhat antisocial it seems, much like “SAD”. We’re just not living at an optimal distance from the equator. Whatever. The point is that was once lost is now found again. Same as every year. Mammals sure are predictable. But on to the real problem …

As if it wasn’t enough to steal your money and give virtually nothing back, they (the core members) also like to prance about the place and flaunt their unpalatable lifestyle. For the rest of us, being in a minority position, it’s a serious uphill, possibly no-win, situation.
I guess I too have been infected with the impatience and intolerance of the modern day and age. It bothers me a little bit. Not because it is wrong or immoral but because it clouds my judgement, which isn’t all that good to begin with. And because I have few things in common with my would-be peers, intolerance is running rampant in my neck of the woods. I guess that is good news in a way. Really. I’m so anti that I’ve gone full circle and then overboard. What I mean to say is that when you have no allies left, it constitutes a cataclysm and you have to eventually reevaluate the world you live in. I.e. rethink many of the things that held you back before. Loosen the social yoke a bit. And begin viewing other people in a more objective way.

Pajamas power

Noun: Green bag culture

 2. The green bags as provided by the state controlled alcohol monopoly.
 3. The expression of egocentric attribution.

Noun: Jumpsuit
 1. An opulent turd.
 2. Active member of a student union.
 3. One who believes to be somebody yet is not worth a rotten penguin.
 4. The pajamas like garment worn by students on certain social events. Marks a certain naivete.
 5. The expression of egocentric attribution.

At least I live in the clean and appropriate part of town where there are no pajamas wearing retar .. simpletons walking the streets like zombies from some bad horror movie. Nothing around to upset you.

I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again. Every time I see the filth that scuttle the universities and populate these social events .. I think to myself: “Is this who we want to hand over our country to?”.
Slightly off-topic — I really can’t decide what I dislike the most. Upstart aristocracy, the uneducated (aka the common man) or the tainted academic. Not all upper class is bad, not all academics are tainted and far from all “commoners” are meritless. I come from a common background myself. I just fail to see what any of those groups can do for the greater good in terms of, for example, leading a country. Or what anyone can do really. Maybe I’m full of prejudice. Maybe it’s a result of first hand experience. But some people can’t be trusted to take out the garbage. Harsh as it might sound, it is what I have begun regarding as “the truth”. We cannot continue to uphold the curtain of equality when there is a dire need to select for excellence.

Another really nasty trend among student unions and branches of such is that they are playing the Junior corporate wannabe game. You know, they think they are so hip when in fact they are only so within their own very limited group. And they deploy a hierarchical structure as to assert themselves and gain credibility. Fat chance for that happening. Yet another thing that we have been fed since childhood, the hierarchical structure, and not just any hierarchical structure but the exact same hierarchical structure that is present throughout political parties and in corporate management. Just so that they can sit there and have a bloody democratic vote on whether they want green or blue patches to sow on their precious pajamas-thingies. Ahh, it sickens me. They even have their own PR crew, although they more or less appear to be fraternity harlots.

Intolerance is just another feather in my hat. A compliment to the man I’ve surely worked hard to become become. Hell, I might not truly like anyone but myself. And not even that at times. But that is fine with me. And enough to keep me going. It’s one of the great paradoxes of being human in this world we’re living. You cannot accept everything with open arms. You need to have principles and guidelines to light your long and dark journey. Without them you will most likely end up bewildered, ripped off and weak. How to set those boundaries not too wide and not too narrow is the big riddle of life. And at the right time as well, not appearing weak nor indecisive. Intolerance is one of the great skills that will help bulldoze your way through life. As long as you can sharpen it into a delicate and beautiful weapon.

Ranting on as usual …
And I need not point out that this is not a question of bias effects and how and why I act and think as I do. It is pointless to ponder and at times even transparent enough. Also, I find it hard to distill my feelings on the subject to just one short and essential posting. So, it’s to be continued I guess …
