Not much so far. Managed to get by with what I had lying around. Most notably I had to toss my rear Michelin Wildgripper Sprint tyre and replace it with one spare Nokian Ultra Tour. A cheap tyre by comparison and also touring as the name implies. Probably all for the better. The surface is smoother and more suited for the surface that I use the bike on mostly anyway (asphalt).
The Wildgripper was kind of a hybrid tyre. And quite popular for some reason as the consumer review above indicates. Professional reviewers were not as pleased if I remember correctly. The tyre works well on every surface except mud. That remains the problem with semi-slicks in general. Given a slippery surface they fare no better than slicks.
Out of WD-40 and biodegradable tensid-based degreaser. Bummer.
Crap. Had to change the rear tube as well. And the tyre is still skew. But hey, it works.
