Just saw the first part of the CIA: Secret Wars documentary by William Karel. Really thought-provoking material. Even if none of it is really a revelation. I guess that in summary the history of the CIA and thus the USA is shown in its true form. One cannot help but be stunned by the things the CIA has orchestrated over the years. Not just the trail of blood but also that this blood was often spilled for the wrong reasons, in vain or for no reasons at all.

Personally, I’m more likely to hold the respective political administrations responsible for these action. Just blaming the CIA seems like a too simple solution. Sure, there has to be a few rotten apples in that basket but for the most part there can be no doubt that most of the controversial directives came from the political branch of government.
