The spirit of the game

What once was a simple sports event has now been twisted and perverted into one fascist wet dream. Exorcising freedom of expression, travelling from nation to nation like a swarm of locust bringing a police state in its wake, all for the sake of the overcapitalized spirit of the game.

It is not difficult to imagine that the Olympic games have become just another tool for a certain type of people to further their ambitions of world domination. Give the people cheap entertainment and they will not notice when you take away their freedom, bit by bit and day by day.

Aside from the regular staple of banned weapons, though, the Greek lads are going a little OTT. Also banned are “hats or bags bearing the insignia of competitors of the sponsors.” That means, thanks to Samsung and Coca Cola sponsorship, NO Pepsi bags and definitely NO hats with Nokia on.

Other banned objects include non-Olympic copyright T-shirts, bags and other clothing, flags of countries that aren’t taking part in the games, out-size flags, unapproved tracts, brochures and flyers, food, cans of drink and family pets. To be on the safe side, the INQ recommends you attend in the nude (as long as all dangerous genitalia is safely tucked away).

On the other hand, Greece is a quasi 3rd world country that just happens to be within the EU. Already with very strict laws and almost unlimited authority. It is not difficult to imagine that such a country sells out to big biz and americanism. Still, no one is safe and beyond reach. Be wary.
