Got my hands on the new version of VIMAS Web Image Guru. Version 5.5. to be exact. Joy.

Have to admit that once I started using this there was no going back. If I worked at Adobe I would certainly take a sneak peak at this software to augment the native export-to-web function in Photoshop. Especially so when it comes to alpha channel PNGs and the ability to save 8bit PNGs with alpha channel. Web Image Guru also manages to shave a few KB here and there off of the final file size compared to Photoshop.

Should have had alpha channel PNGs 5 years ago.
