The Swedish National Map series are produced as part of the, continuous national mapping programme. They are published in series covering the whole country and have been designed to meet the increasing need for landscape information. - Terrängkartan at a scale of 1:50 000 (The Green Map) - Vägkartan at a scale of 1:100 000 (The Blue Map) - Fjällkartan at a scale of 1:100 000 (The Mountain Map) - Översiktskartan at a scale of 1:250 000 (The Red Map) The names and design of these maps is in the process of being changed. The new map titles will better reflect the purpose for which the maps are produced. Terrängkartan = The Topographic map, Vägkartan = The Road Map, Översiktskartan = The General Map.
