Domain renewal

Not much in terms of news, but I just renewed the domain name for another year. No point in paying in advance for three or even five years. Things tend to move fast in the digital world.
It struck me however that I’ve been using this domain for four years now. Since 2000-09-26. Wow. Time flies. [...]

Brief Downtime

Not gonna give up so easily, but I am looking around for affordable hosting just in case it all falls apart permanently.

Sothink SWF Decompiler MX 2005

I have to admit I don’t understand Macromedia Flash. I’m just not qualified to use it. The entire timeline thing is confusing and not my style. Nor do I find it very useful and am generally appalled when people use it for anything bigger than widgets and logos. That being said, the ability to handle [...]

The Quart Size Water Bottle

Found an online retailer that had quart size water bottles at a decent price. Black of course. Jula used to carry them as well but they were discontinued last year just before I had time to buy any.
Silly and vain as I am I also had to try out Mil-Tec’s quick and cheap Tactical Vest. [...]

Sims 2

The game leaked and there was much rejoicing, mangling and rioting. Thank god for P2P. I’m gonna wait a while and read some reviews but it is clear that this will be one of the most prominent games of the year. Hopefully not as slow, childish and flat as Sims 1 though I hope. But [...]

Autumn Gardening

Hmm. Still a couple of things to do before the winter sets in. I can feel the air shivering and ice cold winds approaching. It makes me a little sad every year to see all that has flourished during the brief growing season fade away. The very smell of decomposing plant matter bears a [...]

DNS Downtime

Both primary and secondary Domain Name Servers were offline for about 24 hours. Cause unknown. Shit happens, I know, but I think that there has been a lot of these sudden outages in the last couple of months. Bad luck maybe. Or just a lack of know-how or effort on the administration (99K) side.
Personally, I [...]

Neonode N1

Seems the final product is here at last. Just got the login to the pre-order web shop. Too little too late is what I say. A year ago this phone would have been the bomb. Now it is just one of many quasi PDA phones with camera. I have to say that 4,600 SEK is [...]

Self leveling compound

Never out of work. Just ambition. Here is the thing … the two adjoining garages in the basement are both directly on top of the main concrete fundament. Hence, some sort of coating was necessary to protect the material from crud and petroleum products. The coating of choice became a sort of Self leveling floor [...]

Site changes

- Switched logo to something slightly more interesting. Had to throw the red skull back in. I really missed him.
- Encased the calendar in a table.
- Added a dynamic picture link to the webcam on all portal pages.
