Holiday inflation

Is it just me or is this xmas thing everywhere these days? I mean, xmas decorations in store in October. How vile isn’t that? Not long ago one only had to put up with that crap for a week or two in December. Now it’s two full months of agony.

And about this Halloween thing. I don’t know for how many weeks I’ve been seeing glowing pumpkins now. Probably started about a month ago at which time I believed Halloween was imminent. Don’t really keep track of time, holidays or age. It’s just meaningless. But anyway, about this inflation, enough is enough. I’m so very sick and tired of having fluffy superficial COMMERCIAL ideas and holidays invade our lives. Even if *I* don’t so much as light a candle for xmas, it’s still a problem, more so on a larger scale perhaps.

It’s fortunate that there are no nationalistic attributes to these holidays at least. And that religion carries little weight these days. Otherwise this development would have been really distressful. While we have imported many of these traditions (thinking mainly of Halloween), we have yet to assimilate them. When that happens, they will be difficult to purge. As it stands, they are silly nuisances at worst.
