I don’t know what has been going on here. Supposedly it was a storage issue with the server and how mysql stores data on /tmp. I.e. something that I can’t fix as a user. Don’t know if the admins fixed it or if the system purged the device but everything seems to be working .. for now. Hopefully it will last a while longer this time.

And by the way, the MediaPC is going to hell in a hand basket. No change. Damn. Nothing of technological significance is working this week.

Edit: And now the server took a nose dive for a little over nine hours. Great. Just great.
