Masterplan is back with a follow-up to their 2003 debut and milestone self-titled album, “Masterplan”. “Aeronautics” is an overall pleasant experience though it can’t quite compare to the debut album. Then again few albums ever will. It is, by many, considered one of the best power metal albums of all time. All in all a tough act to follow.

If you like melodic power metal acts like Helloween, Rhapsody, Stratovarius, Gamma Ray, Iron Saviour, Blind Guardian then Masterplan is definitely in the same class. “Aeronautics” is surely one of the genre highlights of 2005. Highly recommended!
