The good news is the process is about to come to a halt. Even Bill had to do something. In short, it looks like Denmark has joined Poland in opposition to the proposed directive.
What surprises me is that Swedish officials do not seem to share the attitude of our Danish social democratic neighbors. I have even witnessed a fear to break with American legislation on the matter. As if we are somehow under their authority already. How utterly spineless. I might have to contact a few MEPs and teach them some manners, educate them. It’s becoming apparent that some areas of Europe need new leadership and a prod in the right direction. They need to be convinced that the United States is yesterday’s news.
