Via Warp2search. Popular technology poses the question whether the iPod series is in fact hyped up far beyond what it actually delivers. Perhaps nothing really new but it’s worth pointing out nevertheless.

Though hinted by the author as a possible problem, I would like to see more data on the life span of those microdrives that spin inside harddrive players like the iPod. I’m not convinced that they will be spinning for the long haul, nor that they can take on a Swedish winter in the forest.
