While not exactly a world event, I noticed that the local (Skövde, Sweden) incarnation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses are selling off their missionary and property. 1.95M SEK. Quite the bargain if you can only manage to wash off the religious stain.

Something hit me though when I realized that their missionary is only across the road from the proposed mosque. I know a number of people had voiced opinions about the mosque site and appealed to the city. Perhaps some of these plaintiffs were indeed from the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Wouldn’t surprise me since they seem a bit intolerant and don’t see eye to eye even with their Christian colleagues.
