The humour in <em>SW:ItP</em> is a bit darkish in its tone when compared to the previous parts and there are not nearly as many "split-your-sides" cracks as in the previous <em>Star Wreck</em> movies.<br /><br />The Swedish subtitles are now available on the download site, by the way. But the plot elements are readily understandable even if the jokes lose their edge. Indeed, they have mostly their minds to work with and that is why I am somewhat disappointed. Because that is where the movie fails. Not in any of the areas which are costly. Sets, actors, costumes, CGI are all adequate. But, it may not be an intentional failure. It's as if many parody writers strive towards "kitschiness," just like comedy sometimes strives towards slapstick.<br /><br />Actually I'm Swedish. So if anyone outside of Finland should "get it", I ought to be a candidate. Mostly I guess I'm revolting against the automatic canonization of non-mainstream products. You must be American who is down by ####### Bush... Movie makers have little money to make this movie and they used their mind to make movie in 7 years. I have see worst movies what Hollywood is maked with money and this was better than SW1 + SW3 (SW2 was wachable, SW4 is best). Galaxy Quest was good movie but they have money and actors to to some like that. I know that some jokes will go bad when translated to english.
