Another one out to get Wikipedia. About the silliest and most paranoid thing I’ve yet to see regarding Wikipedia: Online Encyclopedia is a Gathering for Internet Predators (by the Parents for the Online Safety of Children).
“Who, exactly, edits wikipedia?” According to POSC it’s an “underground cabal of pedophiles.” So to sum it up, people from all walks of life have turned on Wikipedia to try to limit their operations. For various more or less sincere or paranoid reasons. Some fear freedom. Some call Wikipedia communism (even though they are evidently speaking out of their ass on that one). Some think the admins are pedophiles (even though no such term is recognized by respectable field experts). I wouldn’t care to make the counter-accusation that there is a cabal trying to shut Wikipedia down. But there sure are a lot of people who seem “overly motivated.”

In the meantime, Wikipedia invokes Semi-protection (wiki).
