And whoever said the US weren’t possible to bargain with …
Sploid - After more than a month of hand wringing, the Treasury Department has finally relented, issuing the Cuban National team a license to take part in the World Baseball Classic in March.
… only of course it took a massive effort to do so.
Lets recap: (1) Castro promises to give the winnings to US charities (Katrina). (2) Puerto Rico threatens to pull out as hosts. (3) Venezuela suggests moving the finals from the US to Canada. (4) The International Baseball Federation said it would withdraw its sanction of the event. (5) The International Olympic Committee noted that the US’ bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics would be damaged severely AND lest we forget (6) Castro questioning the US’ manhood.
Now that wasn’t so hard was it?
