I haven’t recommended a new album in quite some time, but Axxis’s latest Paradise In Flames is one that just blew me away. Especially so considering I didn’t have a single album of theirs and as far as I can recall never heard a single one of their songs. It’s not often one trips over a band, with 16 years of experience on the scene, that produces material like this and you have in fact never heard of them. Sort of like Kamelot last year. Now perhaps that is more a testament to my own superficial insight into the vast European metal genre, but I get a feeling that Axxis isn’t exactly a household name either. Rockreport’s review indicates this at least.
I guess it’s back to finding and picking up the entire Axxis studio discography.
