But they are still more disliked among respondents than the last time a similar survey was done. Of course with all the media efforts orchestrated by the US and Israel, no wonder Iran has taken the lead. Which only again shows that getting the message out there is the most effective way to fight something. But due to US hegemony, this remains an uphill battle.

Globescan - A major BBC World Service poll exploring how people in 33 countries view various countries found not a single country where a majority has a positive view of Iran’s role in the world (with the exception of Iranians themselves).

Views of Iran are lower than the US, although the US continues to get low marks, as does Russia. Views of China, France, and Russia are down sharply compared to a similar BBC World Service poll conducted at the end of 2004.

It is also noteworthy that Americans like THEIR OWN country a lot less than before. Which is a big step towards doing something about the problem hopefully.
